Continuing Education

Due to safety concerns with the COVID-19 virus and groups of people gathering, the SDAPHCC and IAPMO decided on March 13 to postpone the remaining March continuing education classes.

The following classes were affected:

  • Sioux Falls - March 18 (Last Name L-R) - Ramkota
  • Sioux Falls - March 23 (Last Name S-Z) - Ramkota
  • Spearfish - March 23 - Holiday Inn
  • Watertown - March 16 - Watertown Events Center
  • Winner - March 2 - Holiday Inn Express
  • Yankton - March 3 - Best Western Kelly Inn

Currently, the months of October and November are being considered for rescheduling the postponed classes.

Online Course Now Available

In an effort to assist you and the industry during this challenging time, the online course has been launched.  This course contains the same content as the classroom course.  The price has been lowered to match the registration fee of the classroom course until the situation improves.

The online course provides a way for you to complete your continuing education requirements from your home or office if you wish to do so.  (Please Note:  This course is approved in South Dakota only).

For Those Who are Currently Preregistered

If you were preregistered for one of the postponed classes, your registration fee will be held on file and can be applied to either a rescheduled classroom date or the online course.  If you would like to transfer your registration fee to the online course, please contact IAPMO at seminars@iapmo.org or 708-995-3000.

For Those Who Are Not Currently Preregistered

If you have not registered for a continuing education class, you can either register for the online course for the same price as the live classes or you can wait until the fall and register for a rescheduled classroom date.

Online Course Registration

If you would like to do the online course, CLICK HERE to register.

If you are a returning IAPMO training customer, please use your existing account to register. If this is your first-time taking training with IAPMO, you will need to create a new account. Once you are registered for an online course, please log into your IAPMO user account at www.iapmolearn.org to access the online course.

About the Online Course

The online course is designed to be user friendly and flexible, allow you to come and go as your schedule permits, and progress through the program at your own pace. At the end of each segment there is a short quiz with up to 7 questions (that can be taken more than once) to check for learning. At the completion of the course, you receive a downloadable certificate found in your training history and your status as completed will be reported to the state.  For over 90 years IAPMO has watched over our profession and continues to monitor this current situation and aid in any way possible.
