The SDAPHCC hosts an annual apprentice competition in conjunction with its Annual Convention.  Apprentices can compete in either the Plumbing Division or the HVAC Division.

Competition Overview
Apprentices first compete in a written competition. The top three contestants in each division advance to a hands-on competition at the Annual SDAPHCC State Convention. The first-place winner of the hands-on competition in each division will then advance to the National PHCC Competition at the national convention.

Written Competition Details
Held on January 19, 2024 in Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Pierre, and Watertown at 1pm.
Rapid City Location: 3536 Eglin St (Midwestern Mechanical)
Sioux Falls Location: 712 E 3rd St (Howe, Inc)
Pierre Location: 2315 E Dakota Ave (Wheelhouse Plumbing)
Watertown Location: 9 N Maple (Andor, Inc/Taecker Plumbing & Heating)
