Medical Gas Certification Class
Due to concerns over the COVID-19 virus, the Medical Gas Certification Course scheduled for March 23-26 has been postponed.
It is our hope to reschedule this course for this fall if possible. However, we will only be able to reschedule if we have enough registered attendees. If you are interested in registering, please contact the SDAPHCC office.

About the Class
The class, taught by David Moline, will consist of training in all facets of medical gas pipeline equipment installation for hospitals, office-based occupancies, nursing homes and other health care facilities. A portion of the class will be devoted to learning proper brazing techniques and requirements for working with medical gas equipment and piping. The textbook for the class will be the 2012 edition of NFPA 99 and will be provided, as well as other learning aids.
Contractor employees need to be journeyman level or active in the trades for at least four years. Estimators, construction company officials and hospital employees who will not be installing medical gas systems, and building officials/inspectors, are welcome into the class with the four year requirement waived.
