Medical Gas Certification Course

The SDAPHCC postponed the Medical Gas Certification Course that was scheduled to be held on March 23-26, 2020 in Sioux Falls, SD.  The association hopes to reschedule the course for this fall if possible.

If the course is rescheduled, there are still spots available.  The tuition fee is $1,250 per person for PHCC members and $1,450 per person for non-PHCC members.  Contact the SDAPHCC Office if you are interested in registering.

Scholarships

The SDAPHCC Educational Foundation strives to elevate the p-h-c industry by providing scholarships to young people pursuing a p-h-c career.  Each year, the Foundation seeks to award 2 scholarships.

All applicants must be a senior in high school or a freshman in college and must be sponsored by a member of the SDAPHCC.  The deadline for applications and supporting materials is December 31.

Apprentice Contest

Each year, SDAPHCC hosts an Apprentice Competition in conjunction with the Annual Convention.

There are 2 divisions - Plumbing and HVAC

Apprentices take a written test prior to the convention.  The top 3 highest scores in each division, compete in a hands-on competition at convention.  The winner of each division then advances to the national competition at the national convention.

This event engages apprentices and allows them to showcase their knowledge and skill.  Registration for the contest occurs in November/December.

The 2020 Contest was held on February 27 during the Annual Convention in Deadwood.  Click Here to view the results.

The 2021 Contest will be held at the State Convention on March 4, 2021 in Sioux Falls.  Registration information will be available in November.

New! The SDAPHCC has purchased a trailer to house and transport competition materials.
